First published in "Taiwan General History"

Taiwan's General History records that in the 38th year of Emperor Qianlong's reign (1733), settlers followed Wu Sha into the eastern Taiwan wasteland, which was full of poisonous miasma. Wu Sha, who was somewhat proficient in medicine and knew the aboriginal language, married an aboriginal woman. In the process of marrying the aboriginals, he discovered that the aboriginals often held a piece of Antrodia cinnamomea in their mouths, which had the effects of expelling evil spirits, strengthening tendons, activating blood circulation, and detoxifying and strengthening the liver.

First recorded in "Nanning City Pharmacopoeia"

"Nanning City Pharmacopoeia" records: "Saposhnikovia divaricata is pungent, warm, slightly bitter, can dispel wind and heat, detoxify and relieve pain, and treat ulcers and joint pain." Therefore, people often use Saposhnikovia divaricata to treat colds, abdominal pain and vomiting, gastroenteritis, rheumatic arthritis and other inflammations.
